
Cynthia “Cindy” June Langill (Greer), 62, of Gray, Maine, passed away on February 19, 2026. She was born on July 5, 1963, in Portland, Maine. Cindy graduated from Gray–New Gloucester High School in 1981. She was known for her generous spirit, warm heart, and deep love for animals, having rescued and adopted many over the years. She had an eye for high fashion and enjoyed keeping up with the latest episodes of her favorite shows, especially The Real Housewives. Cindy had a passion for singing, found peace in nature, and cherished time spent by the water. As an Army wife for 22 years, Cindy embraced a life of adventure and resilience, living in many places across the country and forming lasting memories along the way. She is survived by her father, Alfred Greer of Gray, Maine; her stepfather, John Daniel Johnson of Scarborough, Maine; her daughter, Brittany (Danny) Stark of Spanish Fort, Alabama; her brother, Wayne Sprague (Scott Blake) of Gray, Maine; her sisters, Deborah (Gordon, Madison, and Calista) Kinney of Topsham, Maine and Laurie Ann Farr of Scarborough, Maine; best friend and Godmother to Brittany, Pam Latham Secord of South Portland, Maine; “second daughter” Taryn James of Henderson, Nevada; as well as beloved aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Joan Johnson, her former husband, Daniel Langill, and aunt, Jane Barlow. A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held with close family and friends in July. Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, her love of animals, her vibrant personality, and the joy she brought to those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
