Dolores D. (Jensen) Calendine

She was born on January 6, 1955 in Seneca Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Robert Ronald & Violet (Hodges) Jensen Sr.  She Married her loving husband William Dayle Calendine on April 5, 1975 in Portland, ME.  They had two daughters, Jessica Marie Conant of Westbrook, ME and Mary Alice Calendine Shumate of Newnan, GA.

Besides her husband and two daughters, she is survived by her mother, Violet Hodges of Westbrook, ME as well as her siblings, Karen Ann Adkins of Kingsport, TN, Kristine Marie Oxton of Buxton, ME, Robert Ronald Jensen Jr. of Nashville, TN, Eric Scott Jensen of Richmond, VA.  She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Dolores was a devout Christian and an active caregiver throughout the community and to all she met.  She never stopped furthering her education as she acquired her Associates Degree in Applied Science and Paralegal Studies in December of 2010.  She played many leadership roles throughout her career and excelled in job coaching and training of individuals with disabilities.  She retired from Maine Medical Center as a certified nurse's aide after twenty-six years of employment.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on the Special Care Unit of Maine Medical Center, especially Dr. Mailloux and his entire team for their excellent care of Dolores.

Relatives and friends are invited  to attend a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Grace Church, 628 Gray Road in Windham, ME.
