Donald Joseph Caouette

Lisbon, ME - CAOUETTE, DONALD J, 87, of Lisbon, Maine, died peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, after a short illness. He was married to the late Frances Berube Caouette. They were married 44 years. She was the love of his life.

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on June 17, 1935 to Joseph and Ludivine (Dallaire) Caouette. He is survived by his loving daughters, Linda Bedell, of Windham, and Donna Ouellet, of Bowdoinham, son, Steven Caouette of Corinth and son-in-laws Daniel and Stephane. Grandchildren Amanda, Cameron, his wife Tammy, Charity and Joshua. Great Grandchildren Benjamin, Sierra, Rylee and Manny plus many nieces and nephews.

He was a loving and generous father, grandfather, uncle and good friend to all that were lucky enough to know him. He was a school bus driver for SAD 75 for 38 years. He was lovingly known as “Mr C” to multiple generations. He loved the kids and would dress up on holidays while driving his route. He always had a joke to tell! He enjoyed family, camping, reading, making hot fudge sundaes for the kids and making people laugh. In retirement he volunteered at Mid Coast Hospital. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Lisbon Falls. He was proud to be a veteran and served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11 am at Holy Trinity Parish, 67 Frost Hill Ave, Lisbon Falls, followed by a celebration of life gathering for family and friends.
