

Portland Maine – Glen D. Dyer, 59, died on Sunday January 23rd 2022 due to ARDS caused by COVID 19 at Maine Medical Center. Glen was born on July 29th, 1962 in Portland, to Ronald and Suzanne Dyer. He was a generous, compassionate, funny, and loyal person that always put his family first. He could fix anything and started his own business called Fallbrook Home Maintenance. He joined the Marines in July, 1980 and had many fond stories of his service. He was a family genealogist, storyteller, accomplished cook, and a truth seeker. He was studying Business Administration at Husson, and an active union member. He had a long career as a professional driver at Metro and then at Eco Maine. He will be remembered for his quirky humor and dedication to his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Dyer of Portland ME; children, Morgan (a.k.a Eden) Dyer of New York NY, Gregory Dyer of Portland ME; his siblings Yvonne Phelps of South Portland ME, Kevin Dyer of Portland ME, Debra Coolbrith of North Yarmouth ME, Robin Field of Dover NH, David Dyer of Perry OK, Julie Dyer of Hayesville NC, Tabitha Hilton of Waterboro ME, and Thomasena Thayer of Charlottesville MI; his mother and father Suzanne and Thomas Byrnes of Steep Falls ME, father and step mother Ronald and Joelene Dyer of Windham ME.
The memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Portland on Saturday, March 5th at 12PM. The funeral service will be held at a later date and information will be available through the family.
