James Arthur Bourgoin, lovingly known as Jim, passed away at his home in Litchfield, Maine, on September 30, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on March 22, 1962, in Lewiston, Maine, Jim was a beloved husband, father, and friend.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Robert W. Bourgoin and Lois Bourgoin, as well as his stepson, Arthur F. Stout, and sister-in-law, Penny Bourgoin.
He is survived by his wife, Rena K. Bourgoin, and his children: James J. Bourgoin, Kimberly A. Bourgoin, Kayla M. Bourgoin, and Robert W. Bourgoin. He is also survived by his grandchildren; his brothers John Bourgoin and his wife Diane, and William Bourgoin; his sister Louise Caton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was fishing, ice fishing, hunting, or snowmobiling with his kids. He cherished get-togethers with family and friends, playing horseshoes, and listening to music. Jim proudly served in the National Guard and dedicated 33 years to working in the union. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A service to honor Jim’s life will be held on November 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Pathway Vineyard Church, located at 12 Foss Rd, Lewiston, ME 04210
