John W. Cole

He was born on September 4, 1946 in Exeter, NH a son of the late John W. & Barbara A. (Rowe) Cole.  John graduated from Exeter High School and proceeded to the University of NH earning a degree in Political Science.

John and his brother Robert Cole took over Exeter Monument Works in the early 1970’s upon their father’s death.  John continued to run and operate the company for over forty years.  He then proceeded to attend Plumber school three times a week for over two years.  John retired from a job he enjoyed with the State of NH in January 2015.

He loved animals and adored his dogs and cats.  He also loved music and had a passion for antique cars.  John had built and customized many cars during his lifetime.

Besides his wife Susan, John is survived by his brother Robert Cole of Loudon, NH and her sister Betsy Shull of Exeter, NH.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of John’s life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the Springvale Social Club, 22 Bridge Street Springvale, ME.
