Michael A. LaBonte

He was born on July 16, 1959 in Milford, CT, a son of the late Raymond G. & Liane E. (Guilman) LaBonte. He grew up in South Portland, attending local area schools and graduating from South Portland High School in 1978.

Michael worked for a temp agency, which found him work doing maintenance for the Portland Sea Dogs and for different moving and salvage companies.

He enjoyed softball and baseball as a youth as well as playing cards, chess and cribbage.

He is survived by a sister Susan A. Brown and her husband Gerald of Scarborough, two brothers George R. LaBonte and his companion Kathryn Paradis of Windham and Paul J. LaBonte and his companion Mary Burke of South Portland. He also leaves a nephew Gerald W. Brown III and his wife Breanna of Ontario, Canada and a niece Amanda R. Carroll and her husband Neil and their children Emily R. and Molly G. all of Gray. He was also the brother of the late Sandra L. LaBonte, who died in 1977.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Mercy Hospital, Maine Medical Center, Brentwood Rehab and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their care and support of Mike over the past few months.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
