Richard D. Bedell

He was born in Kittery, ME on December 20, 1938, a son of the late Robert O. & Alta (McLaughlin) Bedell. He grew up in Kittery, attending local area schools and graduated from Kittery High School.

Richard’s working career began in the woods & dowel factory. Later he helped his Father run their fishing and tackle shop in Solon, ME. He retired from Burnham & Morrill in 2008.

He had a passion for hunting and fishing and he also volunteered for many years for RTP.

Besides his loving wife Margo, he is survived by nephews David Stevens, his wife Vicki and their family, Patrick McLaughlin, his wife Patricia and their family as well as other nephews and nieces Cheryl Unterkoefler, Mark Bedell, Jill Jean, Angie Poole, Sandra Robinson and Brenda Bedell. He was also the brother of the late Clifton Bedell, Betty Stevens and Rachel McLaughlin.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
