Richard Fecteau

He was born October 15, 1944 in Tampa, Florida eldest son of Gerard J. Fecteau and Rita M. (Couture) Fecteau.

After his father served in the army the family moved back to Lewiston, ME. - That is where he would spend most of the rest of his years. He did spend several years in Greene, ME. while raising his two daughters.

In 2008 he moved back to Lewiston with his current wife of 18 years.

Richard loved everything sports especially his beloved team the New York Yankees. A very avid swimmer he enjoyed his pool or a day spent at the lake or ocean. One of his other passions was camping with family as well.

He also enjoyed music and dancing. He never lost his sense of rhythm even while battling his disease.

Known for his sense of humor he was always doing something to make those around him laugh.

Richard worked at GE for 33 years until his early retirement in 2001.

He is predeceased by both his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Bette Sanborn Fecteau of Lewiston,ME., daughters: Michelle Davis and husband Steve Davis of Poland, ME., and Melissa Fecteau. Brothers: Robert Fecteau and wife Michelle of Lewiston, ME, and Daniel Fecteau of Greene, ME. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Haley Peterson and husband Cody of Mechanic Falls, ME., and Dustin Morin of Poland, ME.
