PORTLAND -- Scott Anthony Mason, 61, of Portland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Scott was born in Portland on Nov. 1, 1952, the son of Philip R. and Alice L. (Kenny) Mason. He grew up on Valley St. in Portland where he attended school, graduating from Portland High School in 1971. He was an avid bowler who enjoyed traveling around the country competing in tournaments. When his boys were younger Scott served as the president of the youth bowling league at Pride's Corner and coached their Little League baseball teams in Portland. He shared a passion for travel with his wife that took them on numerous adventures from cruising the Caribbean, Jazz Festival in New Orleans and just-get-in-the-car-and-drive road trips across the country. Scott loved to be surrounded by his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
