He was born in Brunswick, ME, on December 11, 1956, a son of Lenwood Sr. and Sylvia (Toothaker) Brown. He grew up in Phippsburg, one of nine children. In 1974 he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Eustis, VA, where he spent much of his time working on boats and traveling to South America. After twenty years of service, Tim retired as a Master Sargent.
Upon his retirement, Tim returned to Maine with his wife and children, and worked at Hebert & Sons. There he made many dear friends whom he kept in contact with over the years.
Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He also loved golfing and riding his Harley while proudly wearing his leather Army jacket. He was a big New England sports fan and enjoyed following his favorite teams, the New England Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins. Tim put his family above all else and loved nothing more than spending time with his children, Mellisa and Nick, and his beloved granddaughters, Brittany, Kalea and Lilliana. He also loved getting together with his siblings, extended family, friends, and wife, Diane.
Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a man of God and a proud American. Tim was a true gentleman, someone you could always count on to be there for you in a time of need and would give the shirt off his back to make sure his loved ones were well cared for. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and loving and kind spirit.
