He was a member of Saint Philip Lutheran Church for 48 years. He was involved in the Choir, Sunday school and numerous committees at church. He was also a member of the Wilders Grove Exchange Club. He was blessed to have been a double transplant recipient, which afforded his family and friends 13 more joyful years. He always challenged people to think deeply about their faith and to seek the Lord with all their heart. He fought several long battles here on earth, but ultimately he knew Christ had claimed him from the beginning and therefore he was at peace. We take comfort in the fact knowing we will all be reunited with him once again. Lam. 3:25 “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
Charles is survived by, his wife of 51 years, Carole Mason; son, Craig Mason (Mallory); daughter, Christine Sasser (Greg); grandchildren, Jason Sasser (Jenna), Jordan Sasser (Alexandra) and Caitlin Sasser.
