David Clifton Harper of Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, passed away at home on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Dave, age 67, actively served his family, world, church and Country. He was a forester and registered land surveyor (ret.) by profession and a much-loved husband and father.
Dave is survived by his wife, Christine, and daughter, Elizabeth, and by four siblings (Sue Yates, Jack Harper, Joe Harper, and Sallie Cupp) and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Willis C. Harper and Rachel Ogle Harper.
A stalwart, insightful, and compassionate man of well-chosen words and quiet service, he will be sorely missed. His life will be celebrated at Wake Forest United Methodist Church at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2016.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution to the Society of St Andrew or to Feed the Poor.
