He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy; children, Jeanne Jeffreys, Jim, Phyllis, Meg LaPointe, and Matt; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends starting at 11am Wednesday, April 5th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Road, with a service at 12 noon. Burial will be at Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Hope Baptist Church Benevolence Fund or New Hope Baptist Church Debt Retirement Fund.
