Elizabeth Warren Napowsa, 89, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010. She was a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. Mrs. Napowsa was born on January 24, 1921, to Mamie Willamson Warren and Ernest Lester Warren.
She was the wife of the late Carl Manch Napowsa, Jr., mother of the late Rebecca Napowsa Dillard, and sister of the late Louise Warren. She is survived by her son, Warren Napowsa and his wife Pat, and a daughter, Jan Napowsa Pittman. She had four grandchildren, Chrissy Davis, Tim Newsome, Tammy Noble, and Lucy Pittman. She also is survived by five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Napowsa was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Broughton High School and St. Mary’s College in Raleigh.
Visitation service will be Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 pm, and the funeral service will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC. Interment will follow at Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh. Family and friends may visit with her family after services at home in Cary.
