Erin Elizabeth Dale

Erin Elizabeth Dale, 35, passed away peacefully at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC early Sunday morning, September 11, 2016. Erin was born in Durham, NC on October 1, 1980 to G. Frank Dale and Elizabeth (Penny) Morgan Dale.

She loved growing up at Atlantic Beach, NC and then moving to Wilson, NC, where she was very active at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. She graduated from Hunt High School in Wilson, NC and also attended West Carteret High School in Morehead, NC. Erin graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where she was an Ambassador and majored in Hospitality. Erin spent her career with Marriott as a sales manager.

Erin never met a stranger and was always the first one to smile and welcome you into her circle; leading to her nickname of Sunshine. Erin was a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life. She loved her family and many, many friends.

She will be cherished and missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth "Penny" Morgan Dale of Wilson, NC; sister, Laura Dale Vick and husband, Brandon, of Nashville, NC; brother, Joshua Stevens Dale and wife, Rachel, of Lillington, NC; aunts and uncles, Julianne Ragsdale and husband, Gordon, of Raeford, NC, Barry Dale and wife, Lisa, of Garner, NC, Clark Dale and wife, Holt, of Bunn, NC, Adam Kyle Morgan and wife, KJ, of Jamestown, NC, and Anne Morgan Sharpe of Wilson, NC; and many cousins.

Erin was preceded in death by her father, G. Frank Dale; paternal grandparents, Hubert P. and Margaret Dale; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Sue Morgan; and uncle, John Morgan.

The family will have a Celebration of Erin's Life at 1:00pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
