Gary Emmet Medlin

Gary Emmet Medlin, 68, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026.

Gary grew up in Raleigh, graduating from Millbrook High School and North Carolina State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Gary spent many years as a well-known mechanic at Honda of Raleigh. From turning wrenches to riding Baja or racing, motorcycles were his passion.

Gary rode anywhere and everywhere exploring the country with each assignment as a validation specialist at cGMP. A family man, he always made it home for holidays and special occasions.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Edwin Medlin and Dorothy (Dot) Runyon Medlin, Grandparents, Edwin and Estelle Medlin, and Chase and Dorothy Runyon.

Gary is survived by his sister Cathy Medlin Eatmon (James), nieces Christin Britt (Michael), and Melissa Bradner (John), and his adoring great nephews James and Owen Britt and great niece Anna Lewis Britt.

A visitation will be held on February 21, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, located at 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the same location.
