Worked with Geraldine in Agriculture for about 33 years. That was a joy as she was one of the finest individuals I’ve ever known. 

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to know Geraldine over the years. She was one of the most kind and gracious ladies I have had the pleasure to meet. Her sweet family will be in my prayers and I would like them to know how much she will be missed.

I have so many fond memories of Geraldine, which include trips to the beach, family get togethers at Christmas and Thanksgiving, making homemade ice cream and many more.  Geraldine led an exemplary Christian life and was such a wonderful role model for her children, Gary and Philip, in addition to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She worked her way up to Personnel Director with the Department of Agriculture.  She was always there to offer comfort and support in times of need to her family and friends- many times with a casserole in hand.   
Philip and Gary,  I hope you find it comforting that your Mom loved you both so much and was so proud of both of you.
Geraldine, may God grant you peace, love and everlasting life.  I love you and will miss you.  Whenever I see a beautiful pink flower, I will always think of you.

Dear Gary and Philip - I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family on this sad occasion.  As you will soon find out, no one can replace a good mother!  (You probably already know that!)  I am sure that you must have many happy memories.  I had the pleasure of meeting Geraldine on only one occasion.  I thought she was very lovely and we had a nice chat. I worked with her at the Department of Agriculture. She was very kind to me and I enjoyed working with her.  So sorry for your loss. 

Geraldine was wonderful to work with and an asset to the Department of Agriculture.  Always willing to suggest and assist in any personnel matters.

It's hard to think of anyone in the Department of Agriculture who was more  respected and well-liked than Geraldine. She was a person of wisdom, good judgment and old-fashioned common sense, and always a pleasure to work with. The world would be a better place if we had more people like Geraldine.

It is so hard to believe that Geraldine has passed. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known and had the pleasure to work with.  Unbelievably competent in her job and always willing to help. Prayers for the family during this difficult time. 

Geraldine was a knowledgeable, kind, thorough individual who was loved by all.  I first met Geraldine when I worked for a different state agency and was visiting other agency Human Resource offices.  Before Geraldine retired, she remained in her position to aid the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services until a replacement could be obtained.  I was selected to be her replacement.  She had me work with her for a day to get a feel for the job.  She left a completely organized office to help with the transition.  Geraldine was a dear individual and a good friend.

Geraldine and I were high school classmates at Selma High School. She was a very kind and thoughtful person, always wearing a warm, friendly smile. I will miss her. My condolences to her family and friends.

Geraldine was one of the sweetest, most patient people I have ever known. We worked together for many years for the NCDA&CS in various roles, and she was a great resource for me and other department employees. Our world is a little dimmer with her passing. Rest in peace in God’s arms.

We met Geraldine and Jimmy in June 1987 when we moved in next door to them.  She was my first “Raleigh” friend and it didn’t take long for us to become great friends.    Geraldine helped us all when Beth died. Geraldine was so special. I loved her very much and she will be missed by all the Szczepanski’s.  

I worked with Geraldine for many year at Department of Agriculture.  She was a wonderful person and I know that she will be missed dearly.  Rest in Peace Geraldine, your journey on earth is done.

I was so happy for Susan to have Geraldine in her life to share shopping and all the other things Susan enjoyed with her. She was warm and welcoming to our family from the start. I'll miss our Christmas trip through Historic Oakwood and maybe a Krispie Kreme after. She was feminine and smart, friendly and kind.  
She was soft-spoken and wise. My love and heartfelt sympathy  to Gary and Philip and all of the Pearce family.


To Geraldine's family - It is with profound sadness and disbelief that I'm dealing with the reality that Geraldine has passed away.  Geraldine has been a treasured friend and colleague for nearly 30 years, and she has certainly had an impact on my life in countless ways.  For the past 15 years, dinner with Geraldine and Vicky during Christmas has been a much anticipated tradition, and I am so grateful for the opportunities I've had to develop a lasting friendship with someone who has always been among the most thoughtful and considerate people I've ever known.  As I write this, I can't help but think of so many wonderful times at various personnel meetings across North Caroline.  Geraldine's easy laugh and caring about others distinguishes her and leaves an enviable legacy.  I'm brokenhearted that she has passed from this life to the next but so thankful for my friendship with Geraldine.  Jim and I send our prayers and thoughts to you during this difficult time.
