

Hannah-Lee Crise was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Hannah will be remembered as a very exceptional person. She was the daughter of Arthur and Annette Mills. Though Hannah was born in Providence, RI Arthur and Annette moved Hannah and her younger brother Artie to Miami, Fl.
As a young girl, Hannah had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it, which came in handy as a Girl Scout.
A typical teenager, Hannah had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood, even with the loss of her father at fourteen. She graduated from Miami Jackson High School in 1956. She enjoyed some classes more than others, her favorite were the business classes. While in high school she was a member of the Red Cross and obtained an award for "meritorious volunteer services" from Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Hannah enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. Her pals up to her passing were Petie, Eileen, and Jeannie. She lost two of her pals several years ago Pauline and Joanie.
On November 2, 1957 Hannah exchanged wedding vows with Grover W. Crise III at First Methodist Church of Hialeah of Hialeah, FL. Empathic and loyal, Hannah was committed to making her new family happy.
Hannah worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Hannah was blessed with two children, a daughter, Colleen, a son, Wade. Another blessing for Hannah , was the gift of six grandchildren, Tamra, Kathryn, Kyle, Kevin, Benjamin,Kaleb.
Fortunately, Hannah enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Hannah worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She was employed for the later part of her life by Stan Wright Enterprises. Hannah always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Hannah enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. She liked to crochet, cook, some sewing, crafting and of course couponing. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Hannah found pleasure in sports. In high school, Hannah played Tennis, Archery. Hannah was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite football team when she could.
Throughout her life, Hannah was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations. In high school, Hannah was a member of the Archery club,Tennis Club,Future Business Leaders of America.
Hannah's faith was important to her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakewood. During that time, she was involved with children's and woman's ministries.
Hannah enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included just packing up the car and going to wherever they ended up.
Hannah was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Ace, a cat. They were best friends for couple of years.
Hannah's retirement finally arrived in 2008. Her new life involved relocating to Rolesville NC. Even in retirement, Hannah continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances.
Hannah passed away on August 21, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County. Complications of diabetes. She is survived by Her husband Grover, her children Colleen and Wade, Her brother Artie, his son Phillip and of course her six grandchildren.

Simply stated, Hannah was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Hannah leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Hannah-Lee Crise.
