Pat and Bonnie,
I am just now learning of the passing of your mother.  What few times I met her, she truly lived up to her name!  I remember her warm smile and infectious laughter gave off snuggly, fuzzy feelings much like a cozy blanket on a snowy day.  Happy was a genuine and gracious lady who will be missed by many.

I was a State student-athletic trainer from 1983 to 1987 and was part of FCA those same years.  I am now a retired high school English teacher (Washington High School, NC) and am married to … an Athletic Trainer!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Teague family.  May His grace and blessings be to all of you.

Happy certainly lived up to her name.  Every time I saw Happy she greeted me with sincerity and enthusiasm.  I had the privilege of playing for Bible Application Class while Happy was the song leader.  I also accompanied her once.  She was a spiritual giant and a very special lady.  I know she is singing for her Lord.  May you all be blessed with many memories.

Dear family, James and I were saddened to hear of Happy's death. She was a wonderful person and we have many memories of both your parents. Your dad was a mentor to James during his early days with Ebasco and later at CP&L. We remember visiting with the family in Roxboro when you children were young. One of my favorite memories of your mom was the special cakes she would make. I remember the time she put one of the large candy Easter eggs in one, your home always had wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. James remembers fondly the Saturday mornings when your dad would come by our house on his way to check rental property in Pittsboro and at Christmas time going with him to find that special "cedar Christmas tree" for you children and Happy. Your wonderful memories will get you through this sad time along with God's help and presence in your lives. I'm sure Happy is singing to Dave now and is at peace. Happy was a very special aunt to all our family. We need more people with her personality of sunshine. All my children took inspiration from her positive outlook, and the day was always rosier after a chat with her. She will be missed, but we continue to share moments of joy when recalling her sage advice, loving encouragement or our fun encounters.

Mrs Teague will be greatly missed at our garage.  Although she was a customer of Bills,  we all were "happy" she was our friend.

Chris was a RHS classmate and I knew the family via our years together at St. Mark's Church and sang with Happy in the choir. It was a blessing to see her at last year's reunion of St. Mark's ladies.  She was indeed a happy and joy-filled person and shared Christ with all she met.  May God comfort you in your loss. I am so saddened by the passing of your mother and wish I could have been there today. I was there in heart and spirit and wish I could have maintained more contact over the years! I have wonderful memories of "Mr. Dave and Mrs. Happy" and the whole family as a child myself. I know you probably don't remember me, but once I heard of your mother's passing, I felt compelled to make contact and pass along my condolences. I feel very honored to have known "Mrs. Happy" and to have shared my childhood with you all!

Please accept my deepest sympathies.  Happy was a friend and a customer of mine for over 20 years.  I share your grief and I will miss her.  She was a wonderful lady.

Bonnie--It's such an honor to have you as a friend, and as I learn more about your mother, I can say that I've experienced much of the best of her in you.  Julie and I mourn with your family, and celebrate her life that honored God in the way she lived it!

Our family was extremely saddened to learn of dear Happy’s passing.  For many years we returned ‘home’ to NC from Spokane, WA, and a visit with Aunt Happy was always a highlight.  From catching fireflies in her back yard to sharing a blessing at her abundant table, these reunions will forever hold privileged and fond memories for us all.  Rhett conveyed it best when he said, “I’ll sure miss giving her ‘sugar’!”
