

Jack was born October 2, 1941 in Sampson County. He was the son of Mary Watkins Raynor and Jesse Raynor. Jack was married to Carolyn Yates Raynor on November 29, 1975. They were married 47 years.
Upon retiring from State Soda Shop, of which Jack owned and operated, he loved spending time at the beach with his wife, Carolyn, and their close friends whom he loved boating and fishing with.
Jack was an avid Bridge card player, loved the game of golf, and reading was a favorite pastime. Prior to his declining health, he loved walking their neighborhood and going to the gym with Carolyn. He had a great sense of humor and wit, was thoughtful and caring of others, all of which will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Raynor.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of their residence; sister, Agnes Jordan of Clinton; and brother, Bob Raynor of Raleigh.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 23 at Brown Wynne Funeral Home on E Millbrook rd, with visitation prior to the funeral from 11:30 - 12:30. Interment following at Raleigh Memorial Park. Pastor Shannon Scott of MVBC will be officiating the service. Other times, the family will receive friends at their residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
