

Jackson (Jack) Tindal Touchberry III, age 76 of Raleigh, NC, passed away on August 18, 2022, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He will be deeply missed by his family, but we are comforted to know he is now peacefully resting in the arms of God.
Jackson was born in Summerton, SC on December 20, 1945. He graduated from Summerton High School and continued on to receive a degree in history and political science from Presbyterian College.
Jack was married to Joanne on May 7, 1988; they were happily married for 34 years.
Jack was a man who believed in hard work and always provided for his family. He is best known for starting his own catering company, Papa Jacks Catering. Jack was an excellent chef and not only fed his family well but became well known in his community and beyond for providing excellent offerings of everything from whole hog pig pickings to elegant wedding fare. Jack enjoyed golf, tennis, gardening, anything related to football, and of course, cooking. Jack never met a stranger and loved his family above all. He was a shining example of everything a husband, father, grandfather and friend should be. He was also passionate about his two favorite charities, Special Olympics North Carolina and the South Carolina Autism Society.
Jack is survived by his wife, Joanne Touchberry, and sons, Jackson (Jay) Tindal Touchberry IV (Stacy), Matthew Munson Touchberry (Jenny) and Brian Joseph Buker (Olivia). His is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his beloved dog, Molly, and other family and friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his father, Jackson Tindal Touchberry II, his mother, Janet McLeod Touchberry Trembly and his brother, Gary Lyle Touchberry.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on August 27, 2022, at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Jackson’s cousin, Reverend Pam Thomas will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Special Olympics, North Carolina (sonc.net) and/ or South Carolina Autism Society (scautism.org) . The family of Jackson Tindal Touchberry III wishes to thank all of his family and friends for their support through this sorrowful time.
