James M. Buchanan of Raleigh passed away June 15, 2010 of natural causes after a lingering illness. James is survived by his father, Meade Buchanan, stepmother Sandra Buchanan and sister Carole Buchanan of Advance, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Buchanan.
James attended Ravenscroft School and graduated with an engineering degree from Duke University. Most of his career was spent at ITT Corporation and Larscom. For many years he was a member of Raleigh Country Club.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19th, 2010 at 11:00 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, 27609.
