John David Dasnoit

John was born on August 7, 1928 to the late John F. and Marion V. Dasnoit of Brooklyn, NY. John graduated from Saint Charles High School in Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY. John spent several years traveling the country with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus before marrying his lifelong love of 58 years; Marie F. Dasnoit. John was an avid coin and stamp collector and a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus member.

John was preceded in death by his siblings James, Charles and Ellen, and his grandchildren, Lisa, Michael and Lauren.

John is survived by his wife, Marie F. Dasnoit; children and their spouses; John P. and Kimberly Dasnoit, Charles M. and Shauna Dasnoit, Robert J. and Lisa Dasnoit, Jean Dasnoit and Andrew Malinowski and David B. and Melissa Dasnoit; grandchildren, Laura, Nicole, Jennifer, Nicholas, Stephanie, Jamie, Alix, Amber, Chelsea, Andrew, Joshua and Meaghan, great grandchildren, Jackson and Ariadne and sister-in-law Angela Lombardo.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 9:30 am Friday May 1, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions Life Care formerly Hospice of Wake County or the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc.
