She was born in Baraboo, WI but lived in Raleigh for the past 27 years. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Esther Meyer of Baraboo. She was preceded in death by her loving son Adam.
Judie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joe Geer; son, John, and his wife, Amy, and grandson, Carson Adam of Greensboro, NC; sister, Carol of Middleton, WI; brother, Al, and his wife, Nancy of Estero, FL; nieces and nephew, Kim Dean of Dallas, TX, Tony Meyer of Rockford, IL, Stacy Meyer of Carmel, IN; and surrogate son, Mason Fowler of Wilmington, NC.
Judie infused light, laughter and love into every life she touched. Her memory will burn brightly in those temporarily left behind.
A funeral celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 31, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. There will also be a visitation at the church on Sunday night, Jan. 30, from 7-9 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MDS Foundation.
