Kay Nipper

Kay Nipper, 62, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017. Kay was born in Raleigh, NC on June 6, 1954 to John B. Nipper Sr. and Grace M. Daughtery. She graduated from Broughton High School in Raleigh and worked at St. Augustine’s University in the Finance Department. Kay was a die-hard Barry Manilow fan, a “Barry Girl”, who saw Barry perform at many different venues. She travelled extensively to India and wore Indian clothing. Her favorite color was purple.

In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her brother, John B. Nipper Jr. and nephew, Scotty.

She is survived by her cousin, Dickie Gupton; sister-in-law, Jean Nipper; nephew, Chad Nipper; great nieces and nephew, Gracie, Cody, and Kelsey. She is also survived by her friends, namely Vickie and Kathy.

The family will receive friends from 7-8pm Tuesday evening, February 21, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Road, Raleigh.

A memorial service will be held 2pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Southwood Nursing Center Dining Hall in Clinton, NC.
