Lois Evelyn Drake Nichols

Lois was born in Spartanburg County, SC on June 2, 1935 to Mitchell and Lydia Watkins Drake.

Lois married Kermit Bolton Nichols the love of her life on April 18, 1954.

Lois was a wife, mother of 6 children, and friend to many people. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints.

Lois is survived by 4 of her 6 children, Grant Nichols (Bonnie), Lesa Sanders, Shanna Millis, and Karen Nichols (Jimmy) and son-in-law, Harry Rinehart. Her sisters Louise Drake Newman and Martha Drake Childress, sister in law, Elizabeth Nichols and brother in law, Clyde Nichols (Laris).

Lois has 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her family includes many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared about.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit, daughters, Nancy Rinehart and Julie Nichols. As well as her parents and 3 brothers, George, Boyce, and Mitchell, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 5060 Six Forks Rd. Raleigh, NC 27609. Visitation will be at 11:00 am with the service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Raleigh Memorial Gardens on Glenwood Ave.
