Margaret R. Grider, 94, of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully September 18, 2021 after an extended illness. Born in Arkansas, Margaret lived in Raleigh, NC for more than the past 40 years.

Margaret enjoyed a very successful career in real estate for many years in Raleigh. She was a caring and devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend who will be greatly missed by those who enjoyed sharing her company and loved her so much. Margaret lived life with beautiful laughter, a fun loving spirit and limitless grace. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Don, in their motorhome and entertaining friends they met along the way.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her beloved son, T. Michael McLarry of Raleigh, and her husband, Donald H. Grider of Raleigh.

Margaret is survived by her grandchildren, Jason D. McLarry (Courtney) of Atlanta, GA, Kristen McGowan (Brad) of Raleigh, NC and Ryan McLarry (Jeannie) of Plano, TX., great-grandchildren, William Michael McLarry, Thomas Michael McGowan, Katherine Grace McLarry, Theodore Wakefield McLarry, Samuel Ryan McLarry and Ava Rose McLarry; and step-son Doug Grider of Baltimore, MD.

A visitation gathering will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd. Raleigh from 10:00am until 11:30am Saturday, September 25th, 2021, followed by a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh, NC at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare Hospice, Hayes Barton Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
