

Beloved wife and mother Mrs. Nancy Hutchins Glenn passed away Sunday March 9, 2025 at home, surrounded by loved ones,
Nancy was born in Raleigh, NC to Healy Baker Hutchins and Charles Spurgeon Hutchins on October 2, 1938. She was educated in Raleigh Public Schools and graduated from Broughton High School. After years of dating in high school, Nancy married her beloved Joseph Carroll Glenn on July 12, 1958. They were Married 66 years of their lives. Nancy had several jobs in her life but her favorite was being a full-time mom to her children and a wonderful wife to her beloved husband Carroll.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Healy B. Hutchins and her father Charles Spurgeon Hutchins, Her precious sons “Baby” Glenn and Joseph “Jay” Carroll Glenn Jr.. Her beloved Brothers: Bill Hutchins (AKA “Sweet William”), Charles Hutchins, Frank Hutchins, John Hutchins, as well as her sweet sisters, Elizabeth Lee Hutchens, and Mary Jo Hull. She was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law: Dr. James Eugene Glenn and WIlliam Author Glenn Senior.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband Carroll Glenn, her daughters Lori Glenn and Beth Glenn Chapman (John), Her precious grandsons John Joseph, James August, and Jacob Thomas Chapman and her joyous great grandson Wyatt Morriss. Also surviving is her brother James (Barbara), her Brother Robert (Dottie) as well as her sister-in-law, Ann Glenn Johnson (Rudy). Nancy was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Nancy, were she still here, would love to recognize all of her friends throughout the years, especially her longest friend Peggie Jo Coleman. She lived a wonderful life with many who loved her.

Service information:
Nancy will be honored at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home at 10 am (1701 E Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609) followed by a graveside service at Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S, Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603) at 12 pm.
