Richard was born in Oxford, NC to the late James and Helen Maultsby Dollar on September 11, 1933. He attended John Graham High School in Warrenton, NC and graduated in 1951. Richard served two years in the Army from 1956-1957. Richard was an employee of Stewart Sandwiches for 30 years. He also worked in retirement for Ideal Fastener Corporation for 15 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Aiken Maultsby.
He is survived by his son, Michael Maultsby and wife, Tamatha; His grandsons, Blake and Allen Maultsby; and his sister in law, Carolyn Whitt (Doug) of Roxboro NC.
A visitation will be held at Brown Wynne Funeral Home from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh with a graveside service following at Fairview Cemetery, off Fairlane Dr, Warrenton.
