I met Ronnie in 2004. From the "Get Go" we became good friends. Always the "LIFE OF THE PARTY", I found that Ronnie could always make me seem that my problems were menial. We helped each other see the "positive" in life. 
I moved to FL. in 2012 when he lost brother Donald, I hurt for him. He loved hum so much.
I'm sorry to discover your obituary, my friend. But now I have closure knowing that you are at piece. R.I.P.

Ronnie was my step brother since we were 14 yrs old. He was always my big brother and we had a great relationship Ronnie was one of the funniest people in any crowd. If he was around you he was entertaining you. He would make you laugh until your face would hurt from smiling. I know God has his hands full with both Ronnie and Donald. Ronnie you will be forever missed and  I will love you and your memories that we made forever...RIP  my brother until we meet again


Ronnie and I were brothers from another mother. We had many great times together.He always could find humor in anything. When I heard that Ronnie was gone I couldn't believe it.
He was so full of life and this wasn't so. We talked often on the phone and we always ended our conversation with I love you brother see you soon. Our loss is heavens gain. Ronnie has gone on to be with his Lord before me so for now I love you too and be looking for me when God finally calls me home

I have been good friends with Ronnie for the past 40 years. I always enjoyed hanging out with Ronnie or just talking or texting with him on the phone. I will really miss talking to him about his/our beloved Wolfpack . Ronnie and I were roommates for two years  until I got married two years ago and I will forever cherish that time especially now. We had a lot of laughs and good times. When I heard of Ronnie's passing I was sad,not so much for Ronnie because Ronnie lived the life he wanted to live and was happy right up until the end I'm sure, but I am sad for his family and all his friends because we will all miss him and the great stories and especially the laughs. RIP Brother

I will always cherish my friendship with Ronnie.  I knew him since we were both small children.   Our families lived in the same neighborhood and our parents went to Hugh Morson together.   For years he was an integral  part of my circle of friends.  He was the funniest, happiest and most jovial person I knew.  Ronnie did not allow darkness into his light , and his light shone brightly.  He and Allison were the first to visit me at the hospital when my son was born, and the first to bring a gift to him when I took him home.  If you were lucky enough to hang out with Ronnie for any period of time, you were lucky enough.  Rest in Peace Big Man.   Love you. 

Ronnie came into my life in 1972 when he and his father moved to Wakefield Apts.
He was 14 and the same age of my daughter. After a two year courtship, his father, Gene, and I were married. What a life we had with two teenagers. Ronnie was always the life of any party, with his wit with telling stories. 
Long after his father and I parted, Ronnie remained part of our family attending all family dinners and Holidays. As my grandchildren came along, it was naturally "Uncle Ronnie". Now great grandchildren, and still "Uncle Ronnie".  He and my son, Donald were like brothers, and he was "big" brother to Becky. 
I will miss him and his natural ability to make me laugh. Rest in Peace, dear Ronnie.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Gene M. Moore; step-father, Edward I. Goodwin III; step-brothers Donald Upchurch and Robert Goodwin.  
He is survived by his mother, Ann Parrish Goodwin of Greenville, NC and brother Ricky M. Moore of Winterville, NC, as well as step-mother Betsy Blake and step-brothers Gregory Goodwin, Douglas Goodwin, David Goodwin and step-sisters Laura Murphy and Becky Coontz.
