Rosina Theresa Polizotti Schiskey

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm on Monday June 20 at Brown Wynne Funeral home with a special prayer service. Burial will be Tuesday June 21 at 11:00am at Brown Wynne Funeral home proceeding to Raleigh Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Brown-Wynne.

Rosina was born in Brooklyn, NY to Carmelo and Nancy Polizotti on June 25, 1947. She attended New Paltz High School graduating class of 1965. She married Michael Schiskey on August 23, 1969 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Paltz, NY. She worked for New York Telephone Company prior to moving with her husband to North Carolina where she then worked for Canteen until retiring. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring grandmother.

Rosina was preceded in death by her father Carmelo, her mother Nancy, and her sister Nancy.

Rosina is survived by her husband, Michael Schiskey, her son Carl Schiskey, her daughter Jennifer Taylor and her husband Bradley, her sister Joanne Sarubbi and her husband Joseph, her brother Vincent LaSpina and wife Pat, her granddaughters Mary and Michaela Taylor. And many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Garst, the doctors, and nurses at Duke Raleigh Hospital for the excellent compassionate care not only to Rosina but to her husband Mike and family. We would also like to thank her cousins Peter Lombardo, Richard Lombardo and Angela Vecchio for their constant contact and uplifting phone calls. Special thanks to her 'adopted family' the Talley’s, Mark, Donna, Danielle and Jessica, she loved you all like her own. Her special neighbors Ignacio and Nelly Mejia for always being there and to Marion, Nelson, Cathy, Jean and Pat for their support of Mike and family.
