Born August 17, 1942 in Sacramento Ca. Died August 17, 2025 in Red Bluff, Ca. Barbara was raised in Valley Home, Ca. and graduated from Oakdale Highschool. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Laverne Cooper, stepson Bryce Daniel Norgard, brother Garry Cooper, and husband Michael C. Norgard. Barbara is survived by her sister, Linda Aiken and stepson Shawn Norgard. Barbara’s extended family includes thirteen cousins, twelve nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews, and four great great nieces and nephews.
Barbara had a long and varied working career. She worked at Morrison Pharmacy, the Riverbank Cheese factory, the Turlock auction, Williams Hatchery, and drove school bus for Plum Valley Elementary and Red Bluff High School for 17 years. Barbara made a new mountain family in Paynes Creek, “everyone from A to Z.” Barbara loved gardening and quilting. “I’ve been blessed throughout my life. Mike made me a garden to play in for the rest of my life.” Barbara left an indelible mark on her family and friends and the community; she will be greatly missed.
