James Arthur "J.J." Vansickle

"JJ" passed away on March 2, 2013 in Cottonwood, CA. He was not alone when he died, he was in his Daddy's arms. James Patrick Vansickle, his father, loved him so much and fought to his death to try to save JJ. He was born on March 27, 2007 to James Patrick Vansickle and Shareena Quintana. He was in kindergarten and loved reading, learning, riding his bike, and playing with friends. He loved his little sisters very much. He was very good at dancing. JJ was an incredibly caring, kind, and sensitive boy. He was his mother's best friend and the light of her life. He loved God and always said God made all things. JJ is survived by mother ; Shareena Marie Quintana, stepfather; Kris Kingsley, sisters; Aubrey Jean Vansickle, Trinity Vansickle, stepbrother; Jacob Kingsley, grandparents; Arthur and Irene Quintana, and, Teresa Quintana, Rhonda Peek, Charles Castor, Jim and Sherry Vansickle, and Willy and Carol Martinez. Services will be held at Chapel of the Flowers at 2:30 pm on March 9, 2013 and will be officiated by Quinton Willingham. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Donate to charity of your choice in JJ's name. He loved helping people. I'd like to thank all the emergency personnel, Sheriff's department, Shasta and Tehama County teams, Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers, and the Red Bluff Daily News, for all their compassion and care, and to every friend and family member who is continuing JJ's memory.
