Jessie Rita Twiford

Rita was born on August 31, 1925 to Claud Thomas Arnold and Junie Grace Masterson in Cement, Oklahoma. She had four siblings, Naomi Liechty, Eunice Bryant, Grover Arnold, and Claud Arnold. She was raised in Oklahoma and Arkansas moved to Earlimart and Delano CA,

But spent most of her adult life in Red Bluff CA.

In 1945 Rita married Oliver Dale Twiford. They were married in Las Vegas, Nevada and spent many loving years together until Dale’s death. They had 12 children, 24 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She raised three of her grandchildren, while babysitting MANY other kids as well.

She loved to garden and grow flowers, especially Irises. She baked breads and candies and made jams to sell at boutiques and craft fairs.

She is predeceased by her Parents, Siblings, Husband, five sons, Larry, Dean, James, Kenneth, Robert, and 4 Grandchildren: Sandy, Yvonne, Gregory, and Lawrence.

She is Survived by six daughters: Sandra Twiford, Marsha Gray, Mary Twiford, Virginia Desheers, Carla Perry (Steve), Valerie Twiford, One Son Thomas Twiford (Robin), and 20 Grandchildren: Jackie, Steve, Patrick, Christina, Roger, Carl, Nathan, Rita Lynn, Kathleen, Andrew, Pamela, Joshua, Tyrone, Jerome, Alyssa, Bethany, Jessie, Eric, Tara, and Shelley.
