JoAnn Bosetti, the gentlest of hearts, passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2021 at her home with her family and loving husband Lou by her side. She was born on December 17th, 1930 to Everett and Wilda Bascom in Dragon Utah. JoAnn was the oldest of four siblings and is preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Bascom. She is survived by Lou, her husband of 67 years; two children: Mark(Sandra) Bosetti and Michele(James) Bailey; three grandchildren: Shannon Bosetti, Amber Knight and Krista Watson; six great-grandchildren: Quincy and Faith Bosetti, Barrett and Ava Knight, Joanna and Charlotte Watson; two sisters: Shirley Ryan and Sherrie Mitchell.
At the age of 10, JoAnn’s family moved to Westwood, CA. Within weeks of her arrival, she met Louis Bosetti who became the love of her life. She graduated from Westwood High School in 1949. After graduation she attended Chico State University and worked part-time in the University’s Admissions Office. JoAnn married Louis in August, 1954. Once married, JoAnn and Lou moved to Red Bluff where she lived until her death.
For the first five years in Red Bluff, JoAnn devoted her time to raising her two children. In 1967 JoAnn started working for Lassen Medical where she worked until her retirement in 1995. JoAnn loved the community of Red Bluff. Family always came first for JoAnn. She rarely missed a child or grandchild’s school performance or athletic event, she was so very proud of each of them. She actively supported the Presbyterian Church and the State Theatre. She enjoyed playing cards, it was common for her to play with three different bridge groups a week. She and Lou also loved to travel, as long as it wasn’t on an airplane! She especially enjoyed spending time with her “Crazy Friend”, whether it was motor-homing around the country or spending time at their place in Indio or at Black Forest.
JoAnn had such a loving and caring heart, we will miss seeing her smile, hearing her laughter and her words of encouragement, but her memory will live with us forever. We love you big much!
