John Joseph Verderber

John Joseph Verderber, 88 of Los Molinos passed away on May 3, 2013, of natural causes. John was born December 31, 1924 to John and Sophie Verderber. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech in 1942. John served with the 11th Airbourne Division in the 187th Parachute Infantry Regiment, during World War II. John married Elise Reicherter on July 31, 1948. They were married for 57 years. John worked in the Aerospace Industry for 32 years. In 1978 he moved to California and worked for NCR as a Production Engineer until he retired in 1990. John was a avid bowler and was actively involved with the Los Molinos Chapter of the V.F.W. John is survived by his brother Richard, children, Ann Harris of Los Molinos, Stephen Verderber of Poulsbo, WA and John Verderber of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Carolyn Lane and Michael Harris and great-grandsons, Taylor and Michael Lane. John is preceeded in death by his loving wife, Elise.

Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, May 20, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 814 Solano St., Corning, CA. Internment at Tehama Cemetery, 7772 Woodland Ave., Gerber, CA immediately following.
