 Uncle Joe had a wonderful smile and a gift for telling stories and jokes. I like to think he, Dad and Uncle Larry are together now sharing a good laugh.

Grandpa touched my life in so many ways.  He is in my heart forever.

We regret not being able to make it to the service, our granddaughter has some serious health problems and must be at Stanford on the 18th our daughter is sick so we must take her.
     I first meet Joe in about 1970 we were co workers and became friends. We stayed friends after the job ended. He got me Into the Moose Lodge and we enjoyed going to functions with Joe and Dorothy.
    Later when Joe came to work in my business we spent many nights working together had many laughs and solved all the world problems, he had so many great stories and was there for me when both my parents passed.
    My son Ron worked with Joe a lot, he was that person a kid needs to talk to who isn't a parent. Ron learned a lot from Joe.
    In recent years I always looked forward to his Christmas letter, I will miss that.
    All in all I must say Joe was about the best friend I ever had Our thoughts will be with all of you on the 18th.

Joe always made me smile. I will remember his stories, and his laugh. He was a very good man who is going to be missed so much. I send my prayers and love to his family.

I forgot to sign my name on the post regarding the Bend Oregon Raider Nation. I was so involved wanting to enjoy my visits with Rhoda's family!

My friendship with Rhoda for many years, has made me feel as though I have known all of the family.  Even though I have only met Joe twice, I have known him as long as I have Rhoda.  Such a joy to be with!  One meeting was a statement "how about those women" and I immediately knew he was referring to the start of the women's pro basketball!  More recently, a visit to Bend and joining the Bend Oregon Raider's Nation....fan club....for a barbeque and watch the Raider's game with the club.  What an honor to have him there along with Dorothy, Larry, Taylor, Rhoda and Creig.  A group picture was taken that will remain with the club.  It's been an honor to know you, Joe!!!

Well want do we say about Joe! Words are hard. But both Joe and Dorthy were like second parents to me. I even lived with them for a while. I loved his giggle and his sense of humor. He was a great father and wonderful man. Myself and Loren will truly miss him. Our love to all the Bonds in this time of sadness. Love Loren and Candy

I want to say that it is an Honor to know my Uncle Joe Bonds. He has been an outstanding inspiration to me and my family. I have the highest respect for him. I know he was very proud of his Indian Heritage as I am. I will miss him I enjoyed his stories and his laugh. He reminded me of my Brother Doug, whom I miss also.I enjoyed having time with him. I appreciated him because he gave me good thoughts. I wish that I would have know of him a long time ago. he will be missed by many, he is a shinning star and each day I will continue to Honor him with a thank you very much Uncle Joe Prayer. I loved it when he would say the Me-Wuk words, like Nupa meaning Acorn. thank you uncle Joe Bonds, your spirit will live for ever. Butch.He is loved by all of us the Lindsay Family.

To my Dear Dad, how do I express the love for you and the gratitude I have for all the lessons in life that I learned from you? You loved family, especially Mom -lovingly "ol' Hon", you loved all your children, grand kids, nieces, nephews, in-laws, all family, and you loved your friends - friendships that spanned your lifetime. I remember your Christmas card list! You sincerely cherished each individual person. Strangers were only soon to be friends to you. You always had a firm handshake, a sincere smile, and an interesting story to tell. Your life story is so remarkable! You took life's lessons and made the best decisions for you & your family. I am grateful for your sacrifices & all the love that I felt all my life. You will always live within my heart & my treasured memories of you, and I will always see your smile...when I walk along the river, you'll be with me & I when I need you, I know that you will be with me. I never imagined this life without my Dad - the world just feels a little off kilter without you here. I love you always - X's & O's Your loving daughter, Rhoda

Dear Nice Grandpa, 
 Remember when I use to call you nice Grandpa? I use to think my other Grandpa was so mean!! And you were always so sweet to me. I love you and miss everything about you. Your stories, your jokes, your video taping of every event, your smile, your dancing....I miss you. I called you Pudge and you called me Monica Sue. We were good buds.

To Mom's husband, and our Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Friend, we love you! We will never forget your awesome smile and your witty sense of humor when you would liven up the converstaion with a comical addition, or act out something funny, or animate an object that made us laugh..  We will always remember your interesting stories that you would tell us about times of growing up, your family adventures, or of your military of tribal experiences. We know you always tried to live an honorable life.  Dad, I know that you succeeded!  We will miss you, but are comforted knowing that you are at a better place and sharing with the angels...See you one of these days.  Say Hi to all.
