Well, Sister Blue Eyes, Another blazing July, much like the July you left. This year I love you so, as any other year of loving you. My Violet, this is your Ethel.  I got another postcard from Heaven letting me know Paulie died. You may have seen him already. You taught Paulie and I a beautiful treasure that morning in your Carson City home. We were honeymooning. You said to make sure we were inside at 8 am, to sit on your sofa and wait. We did. Both of us were stunned in delight when the room became instantly full of rainbows everywhere, as if they were dancing.  I smile every time that delightful memory bubbles up. Thank you my Sister. Well, its Aug 22, 2023. Its as hot and miserable as the day you moved to heaven- July 31, 2013. July 2, your birthday. July 31- your fly away day.  I so miss you in a new and deeper kind of way. Cant explain, probably don't have to. As for your bereaved family members, I have no idea how they live without you. I do not know your daughter and all the people in her life now. I bless em all. Nothing better to do than just that. I love you Violet. Your Ethel- your fellow member of the two member club known as the toe pounding club.

Ok Dear Heart, Bumsey here. Glad you physically missed COVID. I was afflicted in December, I truly thought I was coming to be with you. Alas, sorry to report the obvious, here I am-still-...missing you. Our youngest brother, last time he was speaking to me not to much longer after you moved to Heaven -he said "...we thought you were going to die...". I was gobsmacked. Later on it came to me: . . and what did you people DO about that? I never had the chance to ask him , Dear NeeNee, after adopting your daughter, they secretly packed up AND LEFT THE STATE!! Hah, imagine that. Well, God is STILL bigger than the Bogey Man of the abandoning kind. Anyway dear Lynnie, I see you, your art, your eyes in a blue sky. I love you. I prolly will see you soon. Well- its 325 AM my dear NeeNee and I am thinking of you, I am thinking about you.  July 31, 2013- graduation day for you. Beautiful you.  I miss you. Its 2021. I miss you.  No one has ever since called me Bumsy.  

2020. The year of the red sky now brown. I would have loved to see your artful rendition. You are a powerful artist. I remember when you came home and told me the Art Studio was featuring your art. A whole night dedicated to your work. You were the star of the show.  You were beside yourself and thrilled to share that they believed , due to their range of practice there was reason to hope that "I may even be discovered". This world is less colored without your art, without your soul's interpretation.  I so miss you, my NeeNee. I hope to see you soon. Love, Barbie Annie.

It's August 2020 and fires are upon us.  So many hurting puts you in my mind. You were compassionate towards the "castaways" and was so concerned for them. The World is a dimmer place without you here loving the unlovable. You are sorely missed by me. Absolutely NO ONE can take your place. They WILL take your stuff but they can NEVER take your place. I bless you Sister of mine, my Violet.  Until we meet in the air.


So it's May 2019 and I miss you. I am glad you have missed the total abandonment . This Ethel loves her Violet, always have, always will.  I look to the sky where we will meet again. It is not over. It's amazing your lol blue truck license plate holder said best grandma ever. No matter who steps in, you are Grandma and am well loved. Barbara

So, July 31, 2018...who knew. This Carr fire, its hot like the summer you died. I was evacuated, but not like you. I miss you sister blue eyes. No one knows when I wistfully talk of Violet, this Ethel is missing you. I will see you again, I am getting tired of waiting though. I know you know. I love you. I bless your daughter Gail. ..first damn crack out of the box and I had to go and sit on a fork... I remember you sister blue eyes. Through all my life you have had to leave me, I learned to accept that about us. We just always picked up where we left off. And this we will soon do again. You are my NeeNee and I have loved you.
