

She attended local schools graduating in 1941 from Red Bluff Union High School where she served as Vice-President of her senior class under the leadership of George Growney. A fond memory for Sis was playing the saxophone in the high school marching band. After graduation she moved to Sacramento to attend Sacramento City Junior College. While in Sacramento she was employed at the headquarters of The Selective Service, but with the outbreak of WWII Sis returned to Gerber and began a career with Southern Pacific Railroad as the chief telephone operator. It was during this time she met her future husband Bill who was serving alongside her brother George Robbins, Jr. in the United States Marine Corps. Bill and Sis were married in January of 1946 at the Red Bluff Presbyterian Church. After the birth of their two children Sis returned to work in 1962 as a school secretary for Vista School where she remained for 12 years, eventually transitioning to Jackson Heights School as an Instructional Aide. After 5 years as Volunteer Aide Coordinator she retired.
She was involved in a variety of clubs and organizations, including Red Bluff Jr. Women and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, also serving on the Board of Directors for The American Red Cross and Kelly Griggs Museum. She was very involved with the museum as a guide and responsible for baking hundreds of cookies for the annual ice cream social. At the age of 18 she joined Eastern Star and was a Past Matron and also Past Mother Advisor for The Red Bluff Assembly of Rainbow for Girls. As an active member of the Red Bluff Presbyterian Church she participated in the Spring Fashion Show, taught fourth grade Sunday School, and served as an Elder and Deacon. The highlight of the Thanksgiving Season for Sis was serving dinner to the homeless, (alongside her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter). She and her husband were instrumental in starting the annual church camp at Camp Tehama for the youth of the church,
Her leisure activities included gardening (she enjoyed helping with the care of the flower planters on Main St.), playing bridge, and golf. She was president of the Women's Social Group at Wilcox Oaks, where she and her husband were charter members.
She is survived by son Jeff (wife Joan) and daughter Lucinda (Cindy), five grandchildren; Loren, Derek, Julie, Lindsay, Justin and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband William in 2022.
A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 1st at 1:00 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff with a reception immediately following at Wilcox Oaks Golf Club. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the State Theatre, 333 Oak Street, Red Bluff.
