Linda Kay Hinkle was born in Red Bluff on September 14, 1950, and spent nearly her entire life in the town she loved. A proud graduate of Red Bluff High School, Linda built a life centered around family, friends, and community.
Linda passed away peacefully in Red Bluff after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Jimmie, and her brother Butch. She leaves behind her brother Wayne and her nephews and niece – Matt, Drew, Lauren, and Hayden.
Linda’s life was filled with treasured relationships centered around family and friends. She found joy in simple but meaningful pursuits – writing poems, painting colorful rocks with messages of hope, dining with the Red Hats, competing at Bunko, and sharing laughter with classmates, cousins, and friends.
Linda’s family is deeply grateful to the many people who visited and supported her throughout the years, especially as her health declined. Linda’s kindness, creativity, and laughter touched everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship.
A gathering of family and friends will be held to share memories and desserts on Linda’s birthday, Sunday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m., at the Rio Vista Estates Clubhouse in Red Bluff. All who knew and loved Linda are invited.
