Martha Jane Gutierrez

She was born July 23, 1935, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to California’s San Fernando Valley in 1960. She was a housewife and mother and was later employed at the Motion Picture Hospital in Calabasas, California.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Doug) Eastman, son, Robert (Joyce) Gutierrez, and daughter, Cindy Rogers; sister, Patsy Romero; five grandchildren, Wade (Candice) Spivey, Richard J. (Kimberly) Gutierrez, Sarah (Robert) Myers, and Joe and Tyler Rogers; four step grandchildren, Robyn and Eric Eastman, Shawn (Corin) O’Briant and Shari O’Briant; three great grandchildren, Bryden and Teigan Spivey, and Kaylie Gutierrez; and five step-great grandchildren, Haley O’Briant, Emiley Ryan, and Colton, Morgan, and Pearl O’Briant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Gutierrez, and her son, Richard D. Gutierrez, Jr.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Devine Savior church, 566 East Lassen, Chico, California.

Interment will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village, CA, at a date to be determined.
