Born in Red Bluff, California, Ralph was raised in the quiet mountain town of Manton. He attended Red Bluff High School, where he was an accomplished athlete, playing football, baseball, and running track. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War.
After returning home, Ralph enjoyed a lifelong career as a barber. He was the proud owner of the O.K. Barbershop in Red Bluff, a local institution where friendships were forged and stories shared, until his retirement in 2001.
Ralph loved the outdoors and lived life fully—whether he was hunting, fishing, or traveling the country with his family. His sharp wit, strong handshake, and big heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his nephew Bob Hart and wife Penny; great nephew Lee Hart and his fiancé Theresa; and great niece Tiffany Hart-Andersen and her partner Scott. Ralph’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the memories he helped create.
A graveside service will be held at Manton Cemetery on Monday, July 21st at 11:00 a.m., followed by a gathering at the Manton Grange Hall. All who knew Ralph are welcome to attend and celebrate a life well lived.
