A memorial service will be held on May 6, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 720 S. Jackson Street in Red Bluff, California.
Sam leaves behind two daughters, Dawn Rutledge (Nelson) and Aimee Hamon (Nelson) of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Tiffanie Wynn (Robert) of Morris, Oklahoma, Blake Mowdy of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; and one great-grandson, Nolan Wynn, of Morris, Oklahoma.
Sam leaves behind his wife, Eva Marie Nelson and her children, Tammy Hanson, Tina Groves (Tommy) and Tessy Slaton (Tim); six grandsons, Tommy Stutchman (Jessica), Travis Stutchman (Anne), Eli Hanson, Eric Hanson, Jacob Slaten (Katherine), and Issac Slaton; two grand-daughters, Echo Hanson, preceded in death, and Eva May Hanson (Marco); and two great-grandchildren, Freya Slaton and Griffin Slaton.
Additionally, Sam leaves behind two brothers Phillip Nelson (Karen) and Peter Nelson.
We will all forever miss Sam.
