Alice Goodwin

Alice was born on June 7th, 1929, in Texas to parents Horacio Zamora (Otis) and Felipa Herrier Zamora.

She attended Shasta College, graduating with an LVN. Alice loved being a nurse at Mercy Hospital in the pediatrics units. After her career at Mercy Hospital, she went to work for Far Northern Regional Center. She then accepted a position with the Shasta County Opportunity Center.

Alice married Richard Price (Lucky) in 1947, and the couple had five children together. She was a devoted, and kind mother, as well as a very involved mother in her children's lives.

Alice enjoyed going to the lake, traveling, gardening, and most of all spending time with her animals and grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a hardworking, kind, and devoted person.

Alice was preceded by her husband Lucky of almost 50 years, sons Richard Price Jr., and Woody Price, her husband Mac Goodwin, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Alice is survived by her children, Jim Price of Redding, Delores Price of Anderson, and Vickie Fox of Redding, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and 3 great great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life/Funeral Service is scheduled for 11am on March 14th, 2025, at McDonald's Chapel in Redding, Ca. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alice's life.

We would like to thank the caregivers and healthcare services who helped care for our mom, helping to achieve her 95 years of life.

Alice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. I know she is in the loving arms of her heavenly family now and continues to live her good life.
