

Anne Elizabeth Boyle, 92 of Redding, passed away peacefully Friday April 1st at Lassen House Assisted Living in Red Bluff. She was born March 10, 1930 to the late Charles and Beatrice Coffey in Providence, Rhode Island, one of seven children. In 1951 she married Ralph W. Boyle and they were married just short of 69 years until his passing two years ago. She and Ralph came to California in 1955 settling in San Diego until 1986 when they moved to Redding. Besides raising a family Anne worked for Sears about ten years and also worked for the US Census Bureau both in San Diego County as well as Shasta/Siskyou/Tehema Counties. She was an active volunteer for Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary and for a time Shasta County Special Olympics.
She is survived by a son Stephen R. Boyle of Redding, a daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Gary Blocker of Red Bluff, two grandsons, Christopher Crank of Redding and Nicholas Crank of San Jose, sisters Beatrice Desmarias of Johnston, Rhode Island and Martha Glasheen of Weston, Mass., sisters-in-law Kathy Coffey of Durwood, Maryland and Betty Chakuroft of Greenville, Rhode Island, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Ralph (Bud) in 2020, a daughter Debora in 2004 and brothers Charles, Richard, Edward, and Paul.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Sat. April 16th at McDonalds Chapel in Redding. The family wishes to thank both Lassen House Assisted Living and Mercy Hospice for their special care and dignity they showed Anne in her final days.
