of Northern Laos, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, at
approximately 3:40 pm, surrounded by his loving family. He was 64 years
old.
Cheng Meng was a proud member of the Mien hill tribe, growing up in a
humble farming family. He inherited the mountain life and embraced the
values of hard work and dedication. In 1990, he and his beloved wife, Meuy
Youn Saechao, immigrated to the United States, seeking a better life and
new opportunities.
For over 30 years, Cheng Meng and Meuy Youn cherished each other's
company and built a life together. Cheng Meng had a deep love for fishing,
gardening, and taking care of his farm animals, including chickens, ducks,
and birds. His gentle nature and tireless work ethic were evident in all
aspects of his life.
Through his unwavering dedication, Cheng Meng saved enough money to
buy a home, taking great pride in providing a stable environment for his
wife. Although he will not live to enjoy the fruits of his labor, he takes
comfort in knowing that Meuy Youn will have a home. Cheng Meng loved
his wife with all his heart, and his devotion to her was immeasurable.
Cheng Meng is the only son of Nai Meng and Fou Wang Saechao. He is
survived by his wife, Meuy Youn Saechao, his mother Nai Meng Saechao
and his sisters, Muang Wang and Liew Wang Saechao.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who
knew him, but his legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will live on.
Cheng Meng Saechao's journey from the mountains of Northern Laos to
the United States is a testament to his resilience and determination. He will
be remembered as a gentle, hardworking man who provided for his family
and loved them deeply. May he rest in peace, free from pain and
surrounded by the love he so generously shared in life.
