

E.G. "Bill" Bilton, 84 year old longtime resident of Redding, California, passed away on July 14, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, CA.Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 25, 1928 to Carlyle and Tilly Bilton.
Bill proudly served our country as a member of the United States Navy for eight years from 1945 until 1953. Upon his discharge from the military he began working as a Real Estate Broker, first in the Bay Area and then for many years in Redding.
What he enjoyed most was spending time with friends and family. Bill was a lifetime member of the Gold Hills Golf Club. Among his many interest's were hunting, fishing, golfing and woodworking.
Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jean of Redding, California. He is also survived by daughter, Cynthia Gatlin of Ventura, California and son, Bruce Bilton of Santa Maria, California as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his mother Tilly, father Carlyle and his older brother Gene.
Bill's quick wit and good nature will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We were blessed to have been part of Bill's life and we will hold dearly our fond memories of the time we shared with him.
A memorial service will be held at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, California on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northern California Veterans Museum in Redding, California
