

Evelyn Lee (Howell) Donnelly passed away at her home in Cottonwood, CA on 07 Nov.2015, at the age of 76. Evelyn is predeceased by her Father, Robert Howell, Mother, LaDanta (White) Howell & Sister, Helen (Howell) Herrick. Evelyn is survived by her loving & devoted Husband James David Donnelly of 58 years. They were married in Anderson, CA on 19 Nov. 1956. Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her 4 Sons, Robert & Jennifer Donnelly of Woodlawn, TN, David & Antoinette Donnelly of Happy Valley, CA, Don & Cindy Donnelly of Portland, TN, Danny Donnelly of Redding, CA/North Dakota & her precious Daughter, Theresa & Harold Cossey of College Station TX. She leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, James & Yuko Donnelly, Sabrina & Chadd Oty, Kevin & Jenny Donnelly, Candida & Matthew Sanders, Teaaira Cossey, Sonja Cossey, Jessica & Tim Brewster, Heather & Jesse Whitlow, James Donnelly, Don Donnelly Jr. , Monica Donnelly & Shannon Donnelly & 24 Great-Grand Children, Ayaz Mustafa, Rebecca McFadden, Hannah & Isabella Oty, Taylor, Merissa & Trisanna Oakes, Jason, Alexander, Gabriella, Evelyn, Valerie, Matthew, & Isaac Sanders, Kaleb, & Melody Cossey, Brady, & Jax Brewster, Dustin Donnelly, Riley Whitlow, Logan Donnelly, Jake Donnelly and two on the way. She also leaves behind 6 sister-in-laws, 2 brother-in-laws and lots of nieces & nephews. Evelyn was born in Los Angeles, CA on 07 Nov. 1939. She followed/supported her husband for 20 years while he served in the United States Army. They retired in Cottonwood, CA. She went to on to earn an Associate’s Degree at Shasta College, she loved to learn. She worked at Hue n Cry Security as the bookkeeper, she also worked at Gene’s Drive-In in Redding, CA, She loved to work the Cool April Nights week! She was a Breast Cancer Survivor of 29 years. Evelyn enjoyed many hobbies and crafts to include, flower making, cake decorating, wood working, jewelry making, painting, ceramics, crocheting, and many others. She was a member of the order of The Eastern Star, Chapter Northern Lights #14 Anderson. She held many offices in the organization to include Worthy Matron.
Services will be held on November 23, 2015 at 2pm, at the Veterans Cemetery, located at 11800 Gas Point Rd. Igo, California. A Celebration of Life will follow @ The VFW Hall 3210 W. Center Street Anderson, California
