She was born on June 3, 1973 in Redding, Ca. to Orville and Cathy Mapes. She attended

high school at North Valley Christian, and graduated in 1992 from Shasta High School.

She went on to work at MDImaging for many years as a Radiologists Assistant. She was

Also the Administrative Assistant to the Provost of Simpson University under the direction of

Dr. Stanley Clark, until his passing.

Tamara (TAMI) returned to the medical field thereafter at Shasta Community Health Center

as a Medical Records Technician, as well as the same position for Cardiologist, Dr. Khan.

Tami enjoyed sports involvement with her children, cherished spending time on her family’s

Boats in the Bay Area growing up, and dinner engagements with long-time close friends and

Co-workers. She will be remembered for her caring and honest outlook, her devotion to her

Family, and her love for her Savior. Her beautiful smile, and gentle heart will be so very missed.

Tami is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ken Brown, of Redding, Ca., her daughter,

21 year old Kendra Spencer newly married to Joe Spencer, of Redding, Ca., and her 17 year

old son, Taylor Brown, also of Redding, Ca. Surviving her also are her parents, Orville and

Cathy Mapes, and brothers, Tim Mapes, and Cameron Mapes, of Redding, Ca.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Orville Sr., and Goldie Mapes, and Jerry and

Lee Langan.

Tami’s funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 28th at Pathway

Church (formerly Neighborhood Church) 777 Loma Vista Dr., Redding, Ca. 96002. All family

and friends are welcome to attend.

Flowers may be sent to : McDonalds Chapel Monday, July 27th by 5 P.M. OR Pathway

Church by 9 A.M. July 28th.
